Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor – The 180 Million Dollar Dance

Floyd Mayweather Vs Conor: A Circus That Conor Cannot Win

We all thought it was a dream but the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight are actually happening and it’s going to be a huge fight with a lot of money at stake as the fight has been termed the “Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor – The 180 Million Dollar Dance.”

This is a clash between one of the biggest star in boxing and the biggest star in UFC so it is more or less a clash of two kings in their own right and their stories are quite similar as Conor McGregor rose from being a plumber to the top of the UFC in a short time and his now a two-weight champion with a 3.5 seconds knockout record. While Floyd has defied all odds to go unbeaten throughout his career as a professional boxer.

There have been a lot of talks in different quarters about this fight being all about money and that is not far from the truth. There is a reason why Floyd is called Money Mayweather and that is because he is a shrewd businessman who knows how to milk every cent from the fight and he has done that so well with his TMT management team. So there was no way he was going to walk away from this fight when there is so much money to be made and Conor will surely bring the circus as he truly thinks that he can win and would want to create a major upset.

So the major question here is, can Conor beat Mayweather in his own terrain? Yes, they both perfect left hook punch, they are both quick footed but Mayweather is a fighter who knows how to frustrate his opponent until they lose their composure. So it is hard to see Conor hanging in there

Thus, in order to clearly outline why Conor McGregor has absolutely no chance in his fight with Floyd Mayweather, we have come up with 4 reasons why we have come to this conclusion.

This Is Boxing Not MMA

Floyd Mayweather is one of the best boxers of his generation and this is a boxing match so it is hard to see him losing to McGregor who has never boxed professionally in his career. The UFC rules won’t apply to this fight so he will not be able to use his feet, elbows, and bare feet or even kick at Floyd. All these are his main strong points so it is hard to see square up with Floyd Mayweather without getting floored easily. It would have been better if he had gotten some boxing fights under his belt but that is not the case here.

Thicker Gloves

UFC fighters are used to fighting with four ounces gloves so they can inflict more pain on their opponents but the reverse is the case boxers as fighters are compelled to wear 10-ounce gloves. So the effect of McGregor’s blows will be greatly lessened when he steps into the ring with Floyd. But this won’t affect Floyd much as he is used to knocking out boxers with one punch with a 10-ounce glove

Boxing Condition

McGregor is the youngest of the two fighters but he is used to fighting 5 rounds of 5 minutes each and only had to go 25 minutes in his rematch with Nate Diaz, which ended in his favour. So it is hard to see him stay in the boxing ring for 12 rounds. Floyd Mayweather understands the terrain even though he has been out of the game for close to two years now, he still understands the physical nature of boxing and has been training regularly ever since.

McGregor Is Too Aggressive

McGregor’s strength lies in the fact that he is very aggressive and does not hold back but this will definitely work against him when it comes to boxing because it involves tact and intelligence. McGregor will most likely have to come out and be the aggressor in this fight. Mayweather is calmer and this has worked for him throughout his career and the longer this fight stays on, the more aggressive McGregor will become and this will spell doom for him.

Floyd Mayweather saw this fight as a potential money making year again. Make no mistake, this was all his master plan…..another money plan.

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor’s fight is without a doubt a circus but it is going to be a good one.
