Port Harcourt has been a hot bed for musicians. The city is known to be blessed with a lot of talented young people that have gone a head to be successful. Timaya, Timi dakolu, Mr 2kay to mention but a few. On the flip side Ph city has also produced talented guys that just got missing after a few hits.

 

Andre blaze
This is should be one of PH city finest. He started out as a rapper. He was part of a group called Tuck tight, this group had the likes of Frank D’nero and lyrikal. He later ventured into Vjing, in fact he could wear the crown as PH city most popular VJ, because he was then working for Nigezzie which was then one of the foremost entertainment television station that was watched Nation Wide. His whereabouts seem to be a mystery now.

A rap duo of Bobby Aso and Henry Awak.

Bobby

This guys gave us hit songs like Sweet Rice and Port Harcourt Boy.

Henry

Both of them are in Europe now facing their new careers while bobby is in to graphic designing, concept development, Branding and Advertising to video Editing and copy writing. Little is Known of Henry Awak. Probably because Bobby is really active on the social media.

 

Frank D’nero
Real name Frank Higgwe is another PH CITY based musician and producer. Also known as rasta man with no dread. One of his biggest hits was titled cure my craze this song made a lot of waves back then, He also had hits like Kalagolo.


A graduate of Geology & Mining in the University of Port Harcourt. Little is heard of him theses days. Abeg Frank where u dey?

 

The IBZ
They made the term TAKE ONE BEER FOR MY HEAD,a popular slang in PH CITY after their hit song with the same title. The duo are brothers with a good sense humor. They also had hits like Enter my house.

 

WACONZY
Real name Obinna Kelvin Anyanwu was one of the well known PH CITY musicians,The graduate of federal university of Tech. Owerri and also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) at the project management institute in America. His Breakthrough Single i celebrate did very well on the charts.

He went ahead to do some collaborations with big stars like Banky w in the song Jagalova, Faze (Champion), Duncan Mighty (I Celebrate Remix), Naeto C (Hallelujah Remix).
